1. Acceptance and Eligibility
By creating an account, accessing, or using the SignalFly web application, REST API, or embeddable feedback widget (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not register for or use the Service.
Organizational Authority: If you accept these Terms on behalf of an employer, company, or legal organization, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that organization to these Terms. In that event, "you" and "your" refer to that organization.
Eligibility & Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or use SignalFly. The Service is designed and intended exclusively for developers, engineering teams, and professional organizations.
Privacy Policy Incorporation: Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, process, and protect your information, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
2. Accounts and Workspaces
2.1 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (email, password, and connected social authentication accounts) and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@signalfly.dev if you suspect unauthorized access or any security breach.
2.2 Accurate Registration Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information. Creating accounts through automated bots or scripts without explicit authorization is strictly prohibited.
2.3 Workspace Administration and Member Actions
SignalFly is structured into multi-tenant workspaces. Each workspace has one or more members assigned roles (OWNER or MEMBER):
- Workspace Owners: Have full administrative authority over project creation, monitor provisioning, member invites, integration connections, and billing configurations.
- Responsibility for Members: The Workspace Owner is responsible for all actions taken by workspace members, including configuration changes, alert endpoints, and feedback triage actions.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use SignalFly solely for lawful software development, application monitoring, and feedback collection purposes. You shall not, and shall not permit any third party to:
- Unauthorized Monitoring: Configure monitors for endpoints, APIs, or web applications that you do not own or do not possess express written authorization to monitor.
- Denial of Service & Stress Testing: Use the monitoring scheduler to conduct distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, brute-force requests, load tests, or abusive pinging intended to degrade or disrupt target services.
- Malicious Feedback Submissions: Transmit malicious scripts, viruses, worms, trojans, or unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringing content through the public feedback widget or API endpoints.
- Security Circumvention: Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of SignalFly systems, bypass rate limits (10 submissions/minute/IP), defeat workspace tenant isolation guards, or forge JWT tokens.
- System Scraping & Reverse Engineering: Scrape, crawl, or extract data from SignalFly through automated means not explicitly provided by our documented APIs, or reverse engineer any part of our proprietary backend services.
- Resource & Quota Abuse: Circumvent plan limits, abuse storage bandwidth, or create artificial duplicate accounts to evade subscription limits.
4. Monitoring Responsibilities and Disclaimers
4.1 Target Endpoint Authorization
You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary permissions to send automated HTTP requests to the target URLs you configure. You agree to indemnify SignalFly from any claims resulting from your unauthorized monitoring of third-party systems.
4.2 Technical Limitations of Monitoring
SignalFly executes automated HTTP health checks at defined intervals (e.g., every 300 or 600 seconds) with a 10-second timeout. You acknowledge that:
- Monitoring checks reflect endpoint health from our server locations at the exact moment of the check. Intermediate network routing, ISP failures, DNS propagation, or remote CDN caching may affect results.
- SignalFly uses a failure threshold (default: 3 consecutive failed checks) before declaring an incident, which naturally introduces detection latency.
- SignalFly is an operational utility, not a safety-critical system. We do not guarantee uninterrupted monitoring, zero false-positive alerts, or the detection of every possible application fault or transient error.
5. Feedback Widget and Submitted Content
5.1 Customer Responsibility for Host Applications
You are solely responsible for the web applications in which you embed the SignalFly feedback widget. You must ensure that embedding the widget complies with all applicable consumer protection, privacy, and wiretapping laws.
5.2 Content Ownership
As between you and SignalFly, you retain all ownership rights and intellectual property in the content submitted through your feedback widget (including message text, categorized reports, and screenshot attachments).
5.3 License to SignalFly
You grant SignalFly a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and transmit submitted feedback and screenshot attachments solely to the extent necessary to display and provide the Service to your workspace team. SignalFly does not claim ownership of your feedback data and will not publish it externally.
5.4 Sensitive Data Prohibition
You must instruct your end-users and team members not to submit sensitive personal data (such as payment card details, bank account numbers, social security numbers, health information, or passwords) through the feedback widget or in screenshot attachments.
6. Integrations and Third-Party Services
SignalFly integrates with third-party platforms to provide authentication, notification delivery, and repository discovery:
- Telegram Messenger: Notification delivery depends on Telegram Bot API availability, network routing, and recipient chat configuration. SignalFly is not liable for delayed or undelivered Telegram messages.
- GitHub App: Repository discovery inspects repository file manifests using GitHub's REST API. SignalFly is not responsible for GitHub API rate limits, repository permissions, or changes to GitHub's developer policies.
- Google & GitHub OAuth: Social login depends on provider identity services. Provider outages may temporarily affect social sign-in.
Each third-party service is governed by its own terms and privacy policies. SignalFly is not responsible for third-party practices.

When paid billing is launched, subscriptions will be billed on a recurring monthly basis. Full commercial terms (renewal terms, tax compliance, cancellation rules, and refund policies) will be published prior to accepting live payments, as documented in Section 13.
8. Availability, Modifications, and Suspension
8.1 Service Availability and Maintenance
We strive to provide reliable and consistent service, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance resulting in brief service interruptions.
8.2 Feature Evolution
SignalFly is actively evolving. We reserve the right to modify, enhance, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
8.3 Suspension and Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or workspace access if:
- You materially breach these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Your usage poses a security risk, system degradation, or legal liability to SignalFly or third parties.
- Required by applicable law, court order, or government authority.
Where reasonable and legally permissible, we will provide advance notice and an opportunity to cure the issue before permanent account suspension.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
SignalFly, the SignalFly logo, documentation, frontend designs, API architecture, widget source code, and all related technology are the exclusive intellectual property of the Service operator. Except for the limited licenses expressly granted herein, nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in SignalFly intellectual property.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
10.1 Warranty Disclaimer
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SIGNALFLY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10.2 Limitation of Indirect Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SIGNALFLY, ITS OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
10.3 Aggregate Liability Cap
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNALFLY'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO SIGNALFLY IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS [$100] IF YOU HAVE OPERATED SOLELY ON THE FREE PLAN).
11. Termination and Dispute Resolution
11.1 Termination by Customer
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team at support@signalfly.dev to request workspace deletion.
11.2 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases, and your workspace monitors will be deactivated. Content deletion proceeds in accordance with Section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
11.3 Governing Law and Dispute Venue
SignalFly is operated from the Federal Republic of Nigeria. As documented in Section 13, the formal governing jurisdiction and dispute forum are flagged for explicit confirmation by the product owner prior to commercial launch.
Informal Dispute Resolution: Before initiating formal proceedings, you and SignalFly agree to attempt to resolve any dispute, controversy, or claim in good faith for at least thirty (30) days by contacting legal@signalfly.dev.
12. Modifications and Contact Information
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and provide reasonable notice through dashboard notifications or email to registered workspace owners. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
